This is one of the most common questions that Play Therapists get asked when they tell other people their job title. There is a lot of understandable confusion about the Play Therapist title, as it is commonly misused to describe other forms of work. To be clear, Play Therapy is a clinical, psychological intervention which harnesses children’s natural way of communicating with others, through the language of play. There is a lot of specialist theoretical knowledge and reflective practice required to practice safely and effectively.
