Making Sense of The Small Print

Reading Terms and Conditions Policies and Privacy Notices can often involve endless amounts of difficult terminology which can be really hard to understand and relate to your situation. To make things easier, we have written our important information in the format of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) to hopefully help you find the information that you need quickly and to be able to apply it to your situation.

When reading these FAQ’s the terms ‘we/us/our’ refer to Children’s Digital Download Therapy Services and you/your refers to all customers of this website in addition to other parties who may not purchase products but will view content and or submit information on contact forms.

Terms and Conditions: Purchase FAQs

Who is allowed to use this site?

Although this site contains child-friendly products, E-commerce is not a child appropriate activity. By using this site you are confirming that you are an adult and have full control of your account and payment methods. Adults hold liability for any children in their care and their access this site and any activities they complete.. This includes the submission of personal information and any transactions. If you think a child may have submitted any personal information to us about themselves, please do let us know immediately and we will seek to delete this information. This would not include reversing transactions; you will need to discuss the misuse of your payment methods with your payment provider.

Do I need to create an account in order to purchase products?

Absolutely not. Feel free to check out as a guest. The benefit of creating an account is it can speed up the process of shopping with us again, should you choose to return. If you are happy to re-enter all your details each time, then a guest check out is more than okay!

Why did you ask for my address when it is a digital product?

We need your address for billing purposes, which is standard practice across E-commerce Websites.

How will my item be delivered?

You will receive a notification that your files are ready to download once your payment has been processed through your payment provider. Usually this will happen really quickly but sometimes online banking systems can experience some challenges and may take a little time to get your payment to us. Once we have received your payment, you will then receive an email confirmation of your order and you will have 24 HOURS to download your product, after you have clicked it for the first time. In the very unlikely event you do not receive your email within 24 hours, please use one of the contact forms on this website to alert us to this difficulty and we can seek to resolve the issue for you.

Do you offer refunds or exchanges?

Generally speaking, the answer is no. Once the sale is confirmed, the download has an automatic authorisation to be delivered. This is not something that can be halted. It is clearly impossible for you to return digital items to us once you have this authorised access. So please, be very careful in your consideration of your purchases and reviewing the items in your basket before you finalise your order in the checkout. Of course, if you have made a clear and genuine mistake by placing two of the same digital product in your basket, and not noticing until after you have checked out, you can request a refund for this as having two of the same download is clearly of no benefit to you. You have a 14 calendar day period to submit this request for a refund. Any refund will be returned to you via the original payment method. Please be aware that any refund to you will be minus the cost of the original payment processing fee, which we will not be able to claim back from the payment processor.

What am I allowed to do with this digital product?

The person who buys the product is allowed to use the product for their personal use and/or with their own face to face/telehealth/teletherapy clientele for therapeutic intervention.  They may display a finished physical card set or a poster for the cards at training events they hold but they may not distribute or sell any handouts or copies or cards.   The products may not be incorporated into any PowerPoint Presentation. With the exception of the expressed purpose of telehealth/teletherapy work, the introductory licensee may not distribute this product electronically or in any hard copy form (i.e. printed paper PDF’s, card sets or merchandise) either for free, or for sale.

It is prohibited for any person or organisation to reproduce, amend or repackage this product. No digital images from this product may be placed on the Internet, whether on a public or private website, or social media page.  This is because the image then becomes freely available within internet searches and is a violation of copyright.  It is permissible for you to show a selection of the cards you have made for yourself/work that has been created with the cards in a photograph, as such images would not enable someone to replicate the digital quality of the cards or the full product.

The digital products may not be resold, shared, loaned or otherwise transferred. The licence always remains with the original purchaser.  Please re-direct any interested parties to purchase their own digital product.

Is it possible to purchase a physical set of cards?

No. We sell online digital download products only.

How should I print these products?

Obviously, you will need to print the products within the means you have. Ideally, they would be printed with the best print setting possible, on high quality card stock. To protect the card sets, it is advisable to laminate them.

What happens if I cannot download or print the files correctly?

These products have been tested on a range of different computers and printers, for quality assurance. We are therefore satisfied of their quality and that they are fit for purpose. As such, we cannot accept any responsibility for files that cannot be successfully downloaded or printed as a result of the technical challenges and equipment of the purchaser. It is also important to note that due to differences in technology, personal screen settings and quality of printing, there may be some variation in the appearance of the cards on your screen compared to how they print for you.

Am I able to get any more guidance or ideas about how to use the products?

Not directly through this website or through email correspondence. You are welcome to join our Facebook group, which Lynne will facilitate. This group is planned to be a community of like minded people who use these products. It is hoped it will be a safe place for people to share the many amazing ways they have used the products and also a place for anyone to ask any questions. Please do remember that social media groups are no substitute for case specific guidance nor a place to seek direct support for children, especially in emergency situations.

All the information given in our products, on this website and on our social media platforms is done so in good faith and given for general information purposes only; using these tools in isolation is no substitute for professional therapeutic intervention. If you are concerned about the needs of any child, it is your responsibility to follow this up with your supervisor or agency lead (if you are employed) and/or the relevant emergency or routine health or social care service. We are not liable for use of these products nor can guarantee any specific results.

How can I share feedback with you about the products?

We love to hear about the amazing ways in which our products are used, and equally, it is good for us to be made aware of any changes that need to be made. You can let us know about any feedback via our contact forms. By submitting any information to us, whether in a contact form, social media message or email, you are giving us licence to use, reproduce and edit any of your comments for publication across our website, social media and training programmes. Any such feedback publication would not include your name.

Please be aware that should you make any suggestions about any future products for development that this does not oblige us to use them. Equally, should you become aware of a product that has a theme similar to one you have suggested, this does not give you any creative authorship, financial or legal ownership nor any licence rights over these products nor enable you to claim credit for the idea. We have a substantial list of products for development already, which cover a wide range of general themes and specific pieces of work; we will never make this list public to protect our project ideas.
