Play Behaviours Card Set

This Card Set has been created to support the training of caregiver’s about adult directive play behaviours and the impact these behaviours can have upon a child’s feelings of acceptance, competence, identity and freedom to play.  This Card Set also highlights the child-centred play behaviours, that we would want to see enhanced during children’s special play times with their significant adults.

It is the expectation that persons using this Card Set to facilitate such training understand the significance of the different play skills; this PDF does not provide a tutorial about how to employ and develop the individual components and skill sets related to each behaviour. It does, however, give a key to decipher the acronym in addition to some suggestions about how these card sets could be used.
