Tricky Triggers
Lynne could not even begin to guess how many hundreds, maybe thousands of times, she has heard statements like, “His behaviour came out of nowhere!” “She went from zero to ten,” “He overacted to a small thing,” or “She just exploded.” Lynne could also not even begin to guess how many times those statements have just not been true. That is not to say that the adults have lied; it is more that triggers can sometimes involve a bit of detective work.
